Project Overview – Flower Bed Brick Edging & Pink Gravel Installation in Preston

We recently completed a garden transformation project in Preston, where our team installed elegant brick edging along the flower bed and finished the spaces with decorative pink gravel. The client wanted to tidy up and redefine the edges of their garden while adding colour and texture. The existing borders had started to blend into the lawn and lacked clear definition, making the space feel less structured.

Construction Stages

1. Marking & Excavation:
   • We began by carefully marking out the layout of the new flower bed edging. Our team then excavated along the planned lines to create a neat trench for the brickwork.
2. Weed Membrane Installation:
   • A permeable weed control fabric was laid throughout the flower bed areas to prevent weed growth while still allowing water to drain efficiently.
3. Laying the Brick Edging:
   • We installed robust concrete bricks in a single row along the garden’s perimeter, including curved sections to follow the flow of the space. The edging was set in concrete for lasting stability and a clean, professional finish.
4. Finishing with Pink Gravel:
   • Finally, we filled the newly defined beds with high-quality pink gravel. This not only adds colour contrast but also acts as a mulch to retain moisture and keep weeds at bay.
